What is Contractor Bidding System (CBS)?

CBS was developed through significant research in the Public Sector construction bidding process. With the introduction of Biddingo.com it was recognized, by tender owners and contractors alike, that electronic distribution of the Form of Tender was preferred over traditional paper based means. Contractors enter bid prices on the Form of Tender using CBS for electronic tendering.

Electronic Bidding:

The Form of Tender can be downloaded from Biddingo.com and imported into the CBS Software. Item descriptions can be viewed and unit prices can be entered from the CBS system. The Form of Tender does not need to be created in Microsoft Work or Excel saving time inputting data thus increasing productivity. Just enter the bid prices on the Form of Tender in CBS. The Form of Tender can be generated electronically and/or in printed format to help speed up the bid closing process while minimizing errors that occur during manual calculations. PWMS users have agreed to accept bid forms generated by CBS as an official Form of Tender.

Benefits of CBS:

• CBS ensures that no unit price items are left blank. The Form of Tender or electronic bid form will not be created without all unit prices populated. You will no longer need to worry if all unit prices were entered.
• Last minute changes are made easily and quickly. Once you change a unit price in CBS your total price, section total and grand total are updated instantaneous. No need to recalculate any of these fields and examine the FOT for errors.
• Your Form of Tender is legible. The Municipality will not make an error when trying to determine unit prices or total prices.
• You can view the Form of Tender. This will allow you to decide if you want to pickup or pay for the documents.
