tenders will be received by the undersigned, with the label provided, up to 2:00 p.m. local time Wednesday, May 23, 2012 with the Tender Opening in the Purchasing Branch
Conference Room, 56 Mulcaster Street, Barrie, Ontario, at 2:15 p.m., Wednesday,
May 23, 2012 for the following project:
The project includes the reconstruction of Ross Street from Wellington
Street West to Toronto Street (approximately 340m) including, but not limited
to, the installation of 150mm, 200mm, and 250mm diameter local distribution
watermain including water services and appurtenances; 400mm and 500mm diameter
transmission watermain; a 2400mm x 3600mm valve/swab chamber; 450mm and 525mm
diameter trunk sanitary sewer; 250mm and 300mm diameter sanitary sewer and
sanitary service laterals; storm sewers; a 55.2m - 3m x 1.8m pre-cast concrete
box culvert; traffic signals; grading and placement of granular road base and
hot mix asphalt; concrete curb and gutter; concrete sidewalk; and all necessary
restoration.
The Tenderer is hereby advised that a site meeting and test holes will
commence at the intersection of Ross Street and Parkside Drive on:
Tuesday,
May 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
During the site meeting and test holes, attendees are
required to provide and wear personal protective clothing and shall use the
personal protective equipment or devices that the Regulations under the
Occupational Health and Safety Act require.
