Project Summary

The City of Barrie is issuing this RFP to select the services of a Consulting Engineering firm to undertake a Schedule ‘B’ Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to review options to retrofit a stormwater management pond (SWM pond). This pond, LT1 was constructed to service the Cundles East Secondary Plan Area. Implementing a stormwater management pond retrofit study for LT1 will address the absence of quality control provided and consider the short comings of the pond in terms of how it is functioning from a quantity control perspective.

The study is to facilitate the preparation of hydrological\hydraulic analysis of the tributary, assess conveyance, flooding, and environmental impacts of existing and future conditions as well as develop alternatives, preparation & coordination of the consultation process in conformance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA), dated October 2000, as amended in 2007 & 2011.

A qualified Consulting Engineering Firm specializing in drainage and experienced in the Class EA process is required.
