The site is located in Appleby Creek draining behind 593 and 595 Sheraton Road.  The Creek is in meandering process and has resulted in creek erosion.  The contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a tender bid.  Access to the site is off Pinedale Avenue.

The Appleby Creek minor erosion control works include: thalweg adjustment, vegetated riverstone and coir matting.

The construction of this project must meet Conservation Halton and Department of Fisheries and Oceans requirements.

Tenders and plans may be purchased from the Engineering Department, Level 2, City Hall, at a price of $62.15 (HST incl.) as of Tuesday, February 1, 2011.  Plan taker's lists and tender results can be viewed at www.burlington.ca.  Inquiries should be directed to Arif Shahzad at 905-335-7600, ext. 7486.

Tenders will be opened in Council Chambers, City Hall, at 2:15 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
