SCOPE OF PROJECT – RFP-12-16,
ITS Consulting Services – ERP Systems Strategic Review
The intent of this Proposal call is to invite and receive
submissions to furnish all labour, materials, services, transportation and
incidentals to perform the following work:
The City of Burlington (“City”)
wishes to procure the services of a consultant to conduct a review of the
existing ERP systems. This includes the Financial (SAP), Human
Resources/Payroll (Banner) and Asset Maintenance Tracking (Avantis) systems.
In order to offer a third party
perspective, prospective proponents must not currently be providing services to
the City pertaining to these systems.
The proponent will recommend to the
City a strategy for the next 10-15 years that is economical, effective and efficient. Possible recommendations include:
1) Continue with existing systems as is;
2) Continue with existing systems with modifications and/or
upgrades;
3) Move all or part of the functionality provided by existing
systems to a new system(s) which could be the result of purchasing, enhancing,
replacing or a combination of these actions.
The City is currently using:

SAP as its Financial Management
System (“FMS”) ·
Banner as its Human Resource/Payroll
Information System (“HRIS”).

Avantis as its Asset Maintenance
Tracking System
In order to be considered proponents
must have previous experience with
SAP.
It will be an asset if proponents
have knowledge and expertise in HRIS and Asset Maintenance Systems.
The proposed budget for this
engagement is capped at $85,000 including all fees and charges but excluding
taxes.

METHODS
OF PAYMENT:
Payment

If picking
up the document in person, the City will accept cash, cheque, Interac, MasterCard, Visa and American
Express. Cheques are to be made payable
to The Corporation of the City of Burlington.
Documents will not be released until payment is received. The City of Burlington is not responsible
for delivery delays via courier or mail.
