| | Details: | The City of Vancouver's Fire & Rescue Services require upgrades and modifications to 4 new gasoline powered FORD F250 pickups for use as Battalion Chief Vehicles and an additional 2 gasoline powered FORD F250 pickups for use a Medical Units. In order to integrate with the current existing specifications of the vehicle and/or equipment to achieve conformity and compatibility, and to standardize training and operation procedures, the City proposes to award this work to Profire Emergency Equipment Inc. The work includes, but is not limited to, installing custom fabricated consoles, complex mobile data computers, dual radios, radio repeaters, emergency lighting, custom built role out trays and other equipment needed for Battalion Chief and/or Medical Units vehicles. Most of the equipment for the Battalion Chief vehicles will be taken from existing units and transferred to the new vehicles. Once this is accomplished the existing units will be returned to their original condition. The contract is valued at approximately $226,000.00.
