Renovations to an existing three storey brick and stone building with a basement in
the downtown core of the City of Hamilton. The existing building floor plate covers
the entire site and has a public laneway at the rear of the property. The Work
includes a complete "gut" of the entire building to the outside walls and build out
(addition) of the third floor at the rear of the building.
The structure will be converted to accommodate the main floor as Art related rental
program space while the upper two floors will be residential having 12 newly
constructed one bedroom apartment rental units (six units on each floor). The
basement space will be renovated to provide supporting functions for these
commercial and residential components. The building will have an elevator and all of
the units will have individual heating/cooling provisions.
