The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board invites tenders for the purpose of acquiring Portable Preparation, Emergency and general yard work as required Board wide for schools excluding the Catholic Education Centre and Keaton Centre.

INTRODUCTION

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of largest and most diverse school districts in Ontario, serving 1,213,841 residents over 2,670 square kilometres.  The Board currently operates 146 Catholic schools (120 elementary and 26 secondary) throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Dufferin County, with a student enrolment of approximately 85,458 (51,743 elementary and 33,715 secondary students).  With over 10,000 employees, the board is also one of the largest employers in the region.  It is the goal of the Board to provide quality education to students in a setting which fosters Catholic values and beliefs.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONTRACT

The objective of the contract is to expedite the preparation work process for portable relocations, emergency and general yard work for Plant Operations and the Projects Departments. It is the Boards intention to have one contractor with quality work, a high degree of flexibility and the specialized physical and human resources able to perform a varied and complex quantity of tasks as required.
