Sealed tenders, plainly marked as to contents, will be received by the office of the Regional Clerk, Niagara Region, 2201 St. David's Road, Thorold, Ontario, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.

The work to be carried out under this contract consists of, but is not limited to:

·         9,800m3 of Excavation

·         20,460 tonnes of Granular Materials

·         2,620m of Concrete Curb

·         1,850m2 of Concrete Sidewalk

·         8,100 tonnes of Hot Mix Asphalt

·         6,100m2 of Topsoil and Sod

·         Intersection Signalization

 

This contract utilizes the "Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document" (Revision 13) which forms the specification documents excepting the "Special Instruction to Bidders, Form of Tender and Supplementary Special Provisions".  The "Standard Document" is available on the internet at the “Bid Opportunities” section of the Niagara Region website (www.niagararegion.ca).

Plans, specifications, and Form of Tender may be obtained from the Regional Offices, Public Works Department, 2201 St. David's Road, Thorold, Ontario.  A non-refundable payment in the amount of $25.00, reflecting part of the cost of document preparation, will be required for each set of tender documents taken.  Tender documents will be available for pick up AFTER NOON on Monday, June 25, 2012.  Plans and specifications may be viewed without charge, but not removed, at the major construction association offices.

All tenders must be accompanied by a tender deposit in the amount of $150,000.00.

Tenders will be publicly opened at 2:15 p.m. at 2201 St. David's Road, Thorold.  The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
