The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board invites bids for the purpose of acquiring New Outdoor Equipment for a term of one (1) year period from August 17, 2012 to August 31, 2013 with the option to renew one (1) additional year.

INTRODUCTION

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of largest and most diverse school districts in Ontario, serving 1,213,841 residents over 2,670 square kilometres.  The Board currently operates 146 Catholic schools (120 elementary and 26 secondary) throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Dufferin County, with a student enrolment of approximately 85,458 (51,743 elementary and 33,715 secondary students).  With over 10,000 employees, the board is also one of the largest employers in the region.  It is the goal of the Board to provide quality education to students in a setting which fosters Catholic values and beliefs.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONTRACT

The objective of this contract is to a establish a blanket purchase order to the successful vendor(s) to supply the Board with new, high quality, brand name grounds care and snow removal equipment for the use by Board custodial staff in all schools board wide.  The vendor(s) will be expected to supply all equipment in this contract as required by the Operations Department at Keaton Centre.
