Enteral Syringe Pumps

 

SickKids Hospital intends to negotiate the purchase of up to 60 NeoFeed Enteral Syringe Feeding Pumps with Canadian Hospital Specialties.

The total value of this purchase is approximately $120,000 excluding taxes. SickKids Hospital has chosen not to complete an RFP process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons:

  • NeoFeed is the only syringe type enteral feeding pump that is exclusively intended to be used for only enteral feeding that is licensed for sale by Health Canada.

 

Firms wishing to challenge this decision should email a letter outlining the reasons for their challenge requesting a review by 12:00 pm noon (local time) by July 30, 2012 to sam.pringle@sickkids.ca.  SickKids will assess any vendors challenging the NOI process and, at its sole discretion, will decide to engage a competitive bid or proceed to negotiate and award the purchase of the equipment.
