Kettle Creek Conservation Authority (KCCA) is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to undertake the necessary work to classify the Dalewood Dam according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) Hazard Potential Classification (HPC) system (MNRF, 2011)), as well as establish optimal operations of the dam.  A river hydraulic assessment is required for both tasks encompassing portions of the City of St. Thomas.  The bid number is KCCA-2019-DW.
 
All analyses must be consistent and in accordance with the MNRF’s Technical Bulletins and Best Management Practices (MNRF, 2011) of the Lakes and Rivers Improvement Act (LRIA) as administered by the MNRF for Dam Safety Reviews.  The study shall include the main water control structure and all associated features such as the berm, abutments, stop logs, lifting device and reservoir as per the MNRF 2011 LRIA Technical Guidelines.
