The City of Mississauga has proposed the study of potential
improvements for McLaughlin Road within the City jurisdiction. The City proposes to engage a consultant for
engineering services required to undertake and complete the Class EA and Preliminary
Design for McLaughlin Road from Bristol Road West to Britannia Road West,
including the intersections in accordance with the “Municipal Class
Environmental Assessment” document by the Municipal Engineers (October 2000, as
amended in 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment
Act.
Qualified bidders are those who have experience in projects
that are complex in nature. The Prime Consultant must be a licensed firm of
Professional Engineers in the Province of Ontario with major municipal
infrastructure capital projects experience. The prime Consultant is required to
retain an experienced Landscape Architect who has expertise in the Detailed
Streetscape Design of urban roads. Expertise in Class Environmental
Assessments, Public Consultation, Detailed Design, Streetscape Design,
Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, Environmental
Investigation, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrogeological, Stormwater
Management, Noise and Vibration Assessment, ORC EA and Archaeological
Assessment are required.
Proposal forms will be available on or about Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
Responses must be time-stamped to be considered. LATE BIDS will be rejected without exception.
Vendors are invited to attend a public opening commencing at
2:30 p.m., LOCAL TIME, on the day of closing, at the Mississauga Civic Centre,
300 City Centre Drive.
Proposals will be reviewed as to the lowest price,
qualifications, capabilities and experience of the bidder and the availability
of funds by the Municipality to complete the work. The City reserves the right
to accept or reject all or any bids and to waive informalities in accordance
with established policy. The City of
