The scope of this project is divided into 2
separate projects. The work involves the
supply and installation of all components necessary to construct:
Credit Valley
Tennis Club, 830 Paisley
Blvd. West, Mississauga, ON
L5C 3P5
Replacement
of existing wood deck and its supporting frame work. Install new metal and tempered glass railing
and wood railings. Replace the masonry
staircase to the basement and waterproof the west basement wall. Supply and install structural steel
components to the strength the existing canopy over the deck. The Contractor must commence work on September 17th, 2012 and continue
uninterrupted until all work is complete.
This project must meet Substantial Completion no later than October 26th
.

Replacement
of existing pavement walkways on with concrete sidewalks complete with new
railings. Remove the existing stepped
retaining wall system on the north side, grade and sod. Repair visible cracks and damage to existing
cementitious stucco of building. Paint
entire stucco area, new handrails and existing metal doors. The
Contractor must commence work on September 17th,
2012 and continue uninterrupted until all work is complete. This project must meet Substantial Completion
no later than October 18th
To
qualify, a bidder must demonstrate it has the resources, capacity and
experience as a General Contractor, capable of offering a complete range of
services, including those of its subcontractors to satisfy the project scope
and the variety of project situations which may arise.
The
Bidder must demonstrate through satisfactory references and project examples
that it, and any of its carried subcontractors, have proven experience and
qualifications in the type of work identified for all aspects of the project.
References and project examples must show proven, built experience within the
past (5) five years.
The Bidder must demonstrate it has sufficient
resources and a qualified team of subcontractors. They must have a proven record of performing
projects of this scale, on time.

Strongly Recommended site meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday August
15th., 2012 @ 2:00 pm, at Credit
Valley Tennis Club, continuing onto Mississauga
Canoe Club @ 3:00 pm (approx.)
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish
the City with a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Bond in the amount
of 50% of the total contract price, in accordance with CCDC 2 – 2008 with the
current City Amendments.
Responses
must be time-stamped at the location below prior to closing time to be considered.
LATE BIDS will be rejected without exception.
Vendors
are invited to attend a public opening commencing at 2:30 p.m., LOCAL TIME, on
the day of closing, at the Mississauga Civic Centre, 300
City Centre Drive.
The
tender will be reviewed and evaluated as to price, qualifications, capabilities
and experience of the bidder and the availability of funds by the Municipality
to complete the work. The City reserves
the right to accept or reject all or any bids and to waive informalities in
accordance with established policy. The City of Mississauga
