TENDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF

SYKES STREET WATErmain REPLACEMENT

Tenders, sealed in an envelope which shall be clearly marked as to contents and for the attention of Mr. S. Vokes, P.Eng., Director of Operations will be received by the Owner at the Municipal Offices at 21 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford, Ontario N4L 1A1 prior to

12:00 Noon, Local Time on Friday, June 15^th, 2012

for the construction of the Works as described below.

On the same day and at the same location, commencing at 12:15 p.m. local time, the Tenders will be opened and read publicly.

The Works generally consist of the supplying of labour, materials and equipment for, and construction of:

Approximately 180 m of 200 mm dia. watermain complete with appurtenances and services on Sykes Street from Margaret Street to Marshall Street together with the reinstatement of disturbed areas.

Complete Tender Documents may be obtained from the Ainley Group on payment of a non-refundable fee of $30.00 (including HST) per Contract set, payable to Ainley and Associates Limited. Documents may be reviewed at no cost through www.Biddingo.com . Tenders will only be accepted from Tenderers who obtain Tender Documents from Ainley and Associates Limited.

Each Tender must be accompanied by a Tender Deposit in the form of a certified cheque in the amount of $15,000.00 payable to the Municipality of Meaford.

Two tests pits will be dug at locations along the project alignment at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12^th, 2012. Tenderers are discouraged from parking along the Sykes Street right-of-way.

Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed.  The Municipality of Meaford reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders and the lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.
