SCOPE: supply and installation services to merge the three enterprise security systems currently in operation at various Corporate sites into one system and to set up a long term security system standard for all existing and future locations. Request for Proposal (RFP) documents may be viewed at or obtained from the Purchasing Department, 5th Floor, 4330 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, Tel. (604) 432-6326. This RFP may be downloaded directly from the Metro Vancouver website at http://www.metrovancouver.org/ bids/Pages/default.aspx at no cost. Please return your Proposal in a sealed package, to the following specific physical location not later than 2:00:00 p.m. local time on the 30th day of August, 2012 (the "Proposal Closing"): Purchasing & Mail Reception, Metro Vancouver, 5th Floor, 4330 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5H 4G8 The time of Proposal Closing shall be established by the time shown on the clock used by the Corporation for that purpose. There will be a mandatory site meeting on August 16, 2012, at 9:30 a.m., at 4330 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC. Proponents should meet in the lobby. For further information please contact: Linda Borden at (604) 432-6326. Please be sure to read the RFP document in its entirety before submitting your Proposal. Purchasing's hours of business are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In order to make bid results easily and readily available to all, and to thereby eliminate the need for some Proponents to travel to Metro Vancouver Head Office to attend the public opening, Metro Vancouver will endeavour to post the list of Proponents on the Metro Vancouver website by 10:00 a.m. the business day following the Proposal Closing. Only the Proponents' names will be disclosed. All inquiries regarding the Proposals will be referred to that site. Similarly, the award of the contract will be published on the Metro Vancouver website and on BC Bid. Metro Vancouver advises that no information regarding the review of Proposals or the award of a contract will be disclosed prior to the results being posted to the websites. Unless stated otherwise elsewhere in the document only the successful Proponent will be contacted following the Proposal Closing. As only the successful Proponent will be contacted at the conclusion of this RFP, Metro Vancouver wishes to thank all Proponents for their effort in responding to this bidding opportunity.
