The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include the following: Construction of bike lanes and a separated walkway on Lower Ganges Road from Atkins Road to Kingfisher Cove on Salt Spring Island. The major works for this contract include pavement widening, associated drainage, construction of walkway, retaining walls, fencing, landscaping, signage and markings. Refer to the complete tender documents and drawings for the full scope of work. All works to be completed by December 17, 2012. Specifications, Drawings, Contract Documents, and Tender Form may be seen at the offices of the Southern Vancouver Island Construction Association, 1075 Alston Street, Victoria, BC; and the Capital Regional District, 625 Fisgard Street, Victoria, BC on or after June 18, 2012. Copies may be obtained from the Capital Regional District, Environmental Sustainability department, on payment of $25.00 (HST included) for each copy requested, the sum of which is non-refundable. Digital copies may also be downloaded from www.crd.bc.ca (Doing Business/Business Opportunities) and at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
A mandatory pre-tender site meeting and walk-through will be held at the Lower Ganges Road/Crofton Road intersection from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012.
