Components of the work include: door access control; video cameras complete with associated hardware and software; data wiring, racks, and network switches; intercom; public address systems; duress alarms; intrusion alarms; sliding aluminum doors complete with panic bars; pedestrian traffic-control turnstiles; wood doors on pressed steel frames; along with all associated conduit and electrical supplies. The work will include, but not necessarily be exclusive to: - Making good all architectural changes as per plans and schedules, - Replacing existing access control system and expand to include added doors as per floor plans and schedules, - Upgrade and expand existing CCTV system including integration to access control, - Replace existing intrusion alarm with new and expand to include added zones and devices including indicated exterior doors,- Provide new emergency help-phone and intercom systems, - Repair or replace door hardware as per plans and schedules, - Expand and upgrade public address system, - Provide new separate LAN for Security using existing bandwidth where available. Pre-Bid Meeting:1. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE INSPECTION .1 A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site inspection will be held May 23, 2012 at 1:00pm. Interested bidders will meet at: Facilities Management Office, Lethbridge College 3000 College Drive S. Lethbridge, AB .2 Purpose is to: .1 Provide Bidders an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Work. .2 Provide Bidders an opportunity to familiarize themselves with existing conditions. .3 Owner's representative(s) will be present. .4 Site access is restricted. Following the Mandatory pre-bid meeting, if additional visits are required by those Bidders that attended the Mandatory Meeting, these are to be arranged through Ferrari Westwood Babits Architects. Un-arranged visits will not be allowed by the Owner. .5 Attendance at the time and place specified is mandatory for all prime contract Bidders and is a condition of contract award. .6 Each prime contract Bidder shall submit, with its bid, a copy of the attached Form 00 25 14A - Confirmation of Pre-Bid Meeting Attendance. This form, when signed by the Owner's representative at the pre-bid meeting, will attest to the attendance of the Bidder's representative. If this form is not submitted with the bid or is submitted improperly signed, and the Owner cannot otherwise verify a Bidderâ¿¿s attendance at the prebid meeting, that Bidderâ¿¿s bid will be declared invalid and the bid will be rejected. .7 Major subcontract bidders are strongly advised to attend but their attendance is not mandatory. Others are also invited to attend for their information only, and at their discretion.. .8 No information provided by the Owner or his representatives at the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site inspection shall be binding, unless such information is included in an Addendum. Bid Security:BID SECURITY .1 Each Bid is to be accompanied by a certified cheque, or a Bid Bond issued by a properly licensed Surety Company, on a form approved by the Canadian Construction Documents Committee, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price. .2 Endorse the Bid Bond or certified cheque in the name of the Owner as oblige signed and sealed by the duly authorizes principal of the firm and surety, as per Section 2.1.. .3 The bid security amount will be retained by the Owner if the Bidder fails to enter into an agreement when notified of the award of the work within the period specified and, if required, after delivery to the Owner of any required Performance and Labour and Materials Payment Bond by the accepted bidder, or as otherwise determined in accordance with applicable Lethbridge College Purchasing Policy. .4 If no | | Disclaimer: | This bid is researched and provided for information purposes only.
