The Work to be provided by the successful Bidder shall be as follows: Construction of approximately 1510m of 150mm dia. Ductile Iron (Class 52 or PC350) polyethylene wrapped via open cut construction or 200mm dia. HDPE (DR11) watermain via Horizontal Directional Drilling and connection to existing 150mm dia. PVC watermain, complete with 34 service connections, fire hydrants, gate valves and mechanical thrust restraints Complete Tender Documents may be obtained from the Ainley Group on payment of a non-refundable fee of $30.00 (including HST) per Contract set, payable to Ainley and Associates Limited. Documents may be reviewed at no cost through www.Biddingo.com . Tenders will only be accepted from Tenderers who obtain Tender Documents from Ainley and Associates Limited. Each Tender must be accompanied by a Tender Deposit in the form of a certified cheque in the amount of $65,000.00 payable to Collingwood Pubilc Utilities. Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed. Collingwood Public Utilities reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders and the lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted. 1) A mandatory site visit and test dig will be held at the proposed site (see attached Figure 112031-T.P.1 for proposed locations of test pits). Meet at the intersection of Long Point Road and Brophy’s Lane, Collingwood on: Tuesday June 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Attendance will be taken. Failure to attend will result in disqualification of your bid. All attendees will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Tenders, sealed in the envelope provided and clearly marked with the contract title, contract number, and name of the firm Tendering will be received by the Ainley Group until, but not later than: 1:00 p.m. local time on June 20th, 2012 which time and date shall be considered the Official Closing Time. Tenders received after the Official Closing Time shall not be considered by the CPU. The manner of delivery of any Tender shall be at the risk of the Bidder. Each Tender shall be marked by the Ainley Group with the time and date it is received. The Ainley Group will open the Tenders publicly at 1:15 local time on June 20th , 2012.
