EXCITING NEWS FROM THE CITY OF WATERLOO

The Purchasing Division of the Finance Department at the City of Waterloo has the responsibility to act as a professional resource in the procurement process for client departments, and to select vendors who can provide the City with best value.

The City of Waterloo is committed to securing the best products and services at the most competitive prices. In order to assist us and provide our vendors with a time / cost saving mechanism to view and bid on our opportunities we will be partnering with www.biddingo.com. This service will provide an opportunity for vendors to register for bid opportunities and allow the City to maintain the most current vendor information.

Biddingo.com is an online portal that connects vendors providing various goods and services to buyers from the Provincial, Municipal, Education, Crown Corporation, Housing, Construction, Healthcare and Private sectors from across Canada.

Effective Tuesday, July 3, 2012, the City of Waterloo's Request for Tenders, Proposals, Quotations and Information and other solicitation documents will be advertised and available for electronic download from the City's Biddingo.com bid portal at www.biddingo.com/Waterloo

Vendors will have the ability to download these bid opportunities and documents directly from this portal.

Vendors who are interested in doing business with the City of Waterloo are required to register with Biddingo at www.biddingo.com/Waterloo. Registered vendors will receive an email alert when any new bid opportunity is issued regarding City procurements that relate to the vendor's selected commodities.

Registration is available from July 3, 2012 at:
www.biddingo.com/Waterloo

The vendor is fully responsible for keeping their information up to date in the Biddingo database.

The City of Waterloo will no longer maintain vendor lists or email notifications to interested vendors when new bid opportunities are available.

All reasonable efforts to inform registered vendors of relevant bid opportunities shall be made, but neither Biddingo nor the City of Waterloo shall be liable for any failure to do so.

Biddingo Service Options and Costs:

If you are unsure about which option best suits your needs, Biddingo offers a 30 day free trial for those vendors wishing to evaluate the services prior to purchasing a subscription.
