Sealed tenders, plainly marked as to contents, will be received by the office of the Regional Clerk, The Regional Municipality of Niagara, 2201 St. David’s Road, Thorold, Ontario, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, June 26, 2012.

This contract is for the supply of all labour, equipment, and material for the rehabilitation of various roads located throughout the Region.  The approximate major tender quantities are:

·         1,400 tonnes of Granular “A”

·         72m Supply and Install 1200mm diameter CSP

·         100t Hot Mix Asphalt

·         50m Steel Beam Guide Rail

This contract utilizes the “Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document” (Revision 13) which forms the specification documents excepting the “Special Instructions to Bidders, Form of Tender, and Supplementary Special Provisions”.  The “Standard Document” is available on the internet at the “Bid Opportunities” section of the Regional Municipality of Niagara website www.niagararegion.ca.

Plans, specifications, and Form of Tender may be obtained from the Regional Offices, Public Works Department, Transportation Division, 2201 St. David’s Road, Thorold, Ontario.  A non-refundable payment in the amount of $25.00, reflecting part of the cost of document preparation, will be required for each set of tender documents taken. Tender documents will be available for pick-up after NOON on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.  Plans and specifications may be viewed without charge, but not removed, at the major construction association offices.

Tenders will be publicly opened at 2:15 pm at 2201 St. David’s Road, Thorold.  The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
