The scope of work includes parking lot modification and extension, portable classroom relocation, civil works, mechanical and electrical work. Bid documents are available for pickup starting 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 at the office of Graham Hoffart Mathiasen Architects #300, 10190-152A Street. A deposit of $100.00 [cheque made payable to School District No. 43 (Coquitlam)] is required for each set, which is refundable on return of documents, in good condition, within 10 days of tender closing. A mandatory site visit is required for Prime Contractors intending to bid; it will be conducted promptly at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the School Board Office main front entrance at 550 Poirier Street, Coquitlam, BC followed by a site visit to review the portable classrooms to be relocated at Parkland Elementary, 1563 Regan Avenue, Coquitlam BC. Tenders filled out on the Stipulated Price Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and marked TENDER #12.008.07 Centennial Secondary Phase 0 - Temporary Parking and Portable Building Installation shall be submitted in a sealed envelope to the office of School District No. 43 (Coquitlam), 550 Poirier Street, Coquitlam, BC, V3J 6A7, Tel: (604) 939-9201, Attention: Sharon Thompson, Manager of Purchasing Services, no later than 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 31, 2012 (according to the clock on the wall in the School Board office reception area). Faxed revisions to bid submissions are not accepted. Each tender must be accompanied by a duly executed Bid Bond in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount of tender and a Consent of Surety by the Surety Company providing the Labour and Material Bond and Performance Bond. Tenders are to remain irrevocable for a period of thirty (30) days following the bid closing. Bids will be opened in the School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) Board Office following the tender closing time. The lowest, or any tender, will not be necessarily accepted and the School District reserves the right to reject any and all tenders.
