About the Town of Orangeville
Orangeville, named after pioneer citizen, Orange Lawrence, was first incorporated in 1863. Located at the headwaters of the Credit River system and surrounded by the scenic Hockley Valley and Caledon Hills, Orangeville has the unique advantage of fronting on a large reservoir known as Island Lake and the adjacent conservation area. Noted for its many tree-lined streets, historical buildings and homes, Orangeville is extremely rich in culture.
