The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), founded in 1918, is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada, and has branches across the Country. The Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington Dufferin (CMHA WWD) was formed as a result of a merger between Trellis Mental Health and Developmental Services and the Canadian Mental Health Association Grand River Branch. With a complement of 329 staff and a budget of $30 million, CMHA WDD provides a diverse array of community based mental health services and select developmental service across 11 sites that span a large geographic area encompassing Waterloo Region, Guelph, Wellington County and Dufferin County. Each year, CMHA provides direct services to more than 100,000 Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff across Canada in over 120 communities.
