NOTICE OF INTENDED PROCUREMENT
 
The City of Mississauga, located in the Province of Ontario, Canada, intends to procure the goods and/or services as described below:

Description of Procurement: Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) atmospheric detection requires enhancement to meet current operational threat. MFES at the current moment does not have the capability to detect Chemical Warfare Agents, limited detection for Toxic Industrial Chemicals, and limited radiological detection. A new detector utilizing current technology would greatly increase MFES atmospheric detection capabilities.
The Scope includes:
A single Multi-gas detectors capable of:
  • Toxic Industrial Chemicals detection
  • Chemical Warfare Agents detection
  • Radiological detection
  • Biological detection
MFES requires:
  • 1 x chemical gas detector, with pump capacity
  • 1 x Test tube
  • 1 x carrying pouch
  • 1 x carrying case
 
The vendor shall provide train the trainer session(s) for all equipment provided. The vendor shall provide a loaner program for multi-gas units sent in for repair.
MFES reserves the right to buy additional units during the term of the contract.
The term of contract is expected to be five (5) years commencing 2019 and ending 2024.

Delivery Schedule for Goods or Services OR Contract Duration: City is planning to procure equipment in February 2019. The term of contract is expected to be five (5) years commencing.

Language(s) Permitted for Supplier Responses: English only
Specific Conditions for Procurement: The responses received will be reviewed as to qualifications, capabilities and experience of the bidder and the availability of funds by the Municipality to complete the work.  The City reserves the right to accept or reject all or any bids and to waive informalities in accordance with established policy.
The City of Mississauga relies on this advertisement to provide Public notice of this business opportunity. The City of Mississauga is not obligated to notify any bidders in any other manner.
