Supply of All Labour, Materials and Equipment Necessary for the Pruning of Town Trees in Various Locations Within the Town of Richmond Hill

To promote the health and safety of the urban forest within the Town of Richmond Hill, a rotating pruning cycle will be implemented in all areas over the next several years. 


It is the Town’s intent to promote and maintain the trees within the Urban Forest in a safe and healthy condition; while working towards meeting safety and clearance requirements.  

Contract Term and Commencement of Services

The term of the Contract shall commence on the effective date of the Agreement signed by both parties and the will expire on December 31, 2018.  The Supplier shall commence providing the Services on the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with the services commencing the January 2018 and continue for, two (2) phases as scheduled below in section 3.1.  The term may be extended for each optional eight (8) phases as described in section 3.2, upon the expiration of the initial term, as set out in the Agreement.

The Town will determine if each optional phase will be awarded based on performance and contract compliance. The Town reserves the right to award each optional phase, which includes the winter and fall phase of that year, individually and after the previous term has been completed. Supplier will be notified no later than 30 days prior to the start of the next phase.


The Supplier shall provide all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the pruning of Town trees in various locations as detailed in Appendix A-1 and herein, within the Town of Richmond Hill (“Services”).

The Town of Richmond Hill no longer distributes bids in hard copy. Suppliers will continue be responsible to submit bids and proposals in hard copy format by the specified closing date and time to the Office of the Clerk, Ground Floor, 225 East Beaver Creek Road, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B 3P4, unless otherwise specified in the bid document. Suppliers are fully responsible for keeping their registration information in Biddingo.com up-to-date. The Town will not be responsible for any potential vendor, past or present, not being aware of any or all business opportunities.
